Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is an effective, fun, and simple way for people to learn about God and His commands. In this video, we see Florence, a transformed addict, hosting her Wednesday morning DBS for her neighbors.
Partnerships
Discover Recovery has a wide network that penetrates all of Kenya to train and equip ministry leaders, teachers, pastors, and community leaders. Here we see trainers from IAMercy.org training kids at Bethany School in Kawengware, one of the underprivileged schools that are supported by Watumull Children’s Family Fund.

What to pray about for Discover Recovery (DR) East Africa:
- To raise awareness about the issues of addictions in East Africa.
- To enable people to be trained on forming DR Clubs that offer their communities assistance to overcome addiction.
- That there is a revival in the slums – people see there is hope and are transformed and healed.

Being honesty after many years of denial, recovery can begin with one simple admission of being powerless over alcohol, for alcoholics and their friends and family.
Acknowledging that Faith is a spiritual truth (higher power), that before a higher power can begin to operate, one must first believe that it can.
A lifetime of self-will run riot can come to a screeching halt and change forever, by making a simple decision to turn it all over to a higher power.
Our Mission
Discover Recovery East Africa equips and trains how to be free from the bondage of addictions (for example but not all encompassing: alcohol, drugs, sexual vices, gambling, etc.) and delivers certificates to trainers and learners with the objective of ensuring creation of self-help networks for communities.
